Stephanie Boateng is a 25-year-old 3D portrait painter based in Wilmington, Delaware. Specializing in vibrant and emotionally charged depictions of Black women, she celebrates their beauty through dynamic exhibition, Crowned Glory in partnership with Unified Creative Exchange Agency and Gallery.

Crowned Glory is an immersive solo exhibition by Stephanie Boateng that redefines portraiture and challenges perceptions of beauty, identity, and resilience. Through vibrant, three-dimensional works, Boateng captures the essence of Black womanhood, celebrating its strength, elegance, and diversity.

Each piece in this collection is more than a portrait—it is a sculptural experience, meticulously crafted with textured materials such as synthetic hair, glitter, and Styrofoam. These elements bring her subjects to life, transforming traditional portraiture into an exploration of heritage, personal triumph, and self-expression. Crowned Glory serves as a powerful visual statement on the richness of Black femininity while confronting societal norms and historical erasure.

This exhibition sparks dialogue and inspires change, providing a platform for narratives that are often overlooked. Through Boateng’s masterful storytelling and innovative approach, Crowned Glory invites viewers to step into a world where art becomes a vessel for empowerment, representation, and cultural affirmation.

The exhibition will be on view from March 7–April 2, 2025, at The Dahlia (Gallery at 1601 - Second Floor) in Wilmington, DE, with an opening reception on March 7th from 5–9 PM, in conjunction with Wilmington’s Art Loop. Guests will enjoy smooth R&B and Neo-Soul music, complimentary refreshments, and cash bar.
